Donna McDonnell

Growing up in Ottawa, Ontario, Donna created art in one form or another for as long as she can remember. She attended the Banff School of Fine Arts, studying Life Drawing with Robert Hyndman, and through the years, studied art in various mediums and subjects while working as a registered nurse. In 1987 she enrolled at Algonquin College in Graphic Design to finally make a career of doing what she loved, winning numerous awards and finishing top student in her class. She was employed as a graphic designer and illustrator in Ottawa for over ten years, before moving west in 2006. In May of 2016, Donna joined TOSH 10 Studio and Gallery at The Old School House Arts Centre in Qualicum Beach, www.tosh10gallery.blogspot.ca.

She is a Signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (AFCA), and a Signature member of Pastel Artists Canada (PAC). She enjoys working in soft pastel and watermedia, printing monotypes and painting outside during the dry months of summer.

Donna's drawings and paintings are in private collections across Canada.
